  1. Azostob 446 SC is a systemic fungicide, both preventative and curative, in the form of a concentrated SC suspension. It contains Azoxystrobin 32.2% and Metalaxyl-M 12.4%. It was developed to control a range of the most dangerous soil fungi that attack roots and stem bases, causing seedling death, stunted growth, and root rot, leading to reduced plant density and decreased productivity. The product combines two active ingredients with different mechanisms of action to provide broad preventative and curative protection against soil-borne diseases. It also helps protect roots during the early stages of growth, improves plant stability after transplanting, and promotes the development of a strong root system capable of more efficiently absorbing water and nutrients.

Product Features

  • A systemic fungicide specialized in controlling soil and root diseases.
  • It contains Azoxystrobin and Metalaxyl-M to broaden the range of control.

  • Effective against Phytophthora, the causative agent of root diseases and wilting.
  • Effective against Rhizoctonia solani, which causes root and stem base rot.

Symptoms of the infection that it combats

  • Death of seedlings before or after germination.
  • Root rot.
  • Stem base rot.
  • Stunted and stunted plant growth.
  • Wilting caused by root damage.
  • Yellowing of plants and poor absorption of nutrients.

Important notes

  • For optimal effectiveness, the pesticide solution must reach the root zone.
  • Light irrigation is preferred after treatment to help spread the pesticide around the roots.
  • Maintaining good soil drainage helps to increase pest control efficiency.
  • Avoid overwatering because increased moisture encourages the activity of Pythium and Phytophthora fungi.
  • It is preferable to alternate with fungicides from different groups when using them repeatedly.

Prohibition period

  • Vegetables: One day before harvest.
  • Tomatoes: Before the fruit begins to ripen.
  • Potatoes: 14 days before harvest.

Orchid advice

  • If the problem recurs every season in the same area of the field, the cause is often not solely the presence of the fungus, but also excessive soil moisture or poor drainage. Therefore, it is recommended to use Azostob early, along with improved irrigation management and avoiding prolonged waterlogging around the roots, as successful root rot control begins with the soil itself before the application of the fungicide.
